'When we took oath together': Congress leader's nostalgic post for Delhi CM elect Rekha Gupta
PTC News Desk: Congress leader Alka Lamba took to her social media and shared a nostalgic post cherishing old memories with Delhi Chief Minister-elect Rekha Gupta while keeping aside party politics. She shared a photo from 1995 when they both took oath together.
Lamba shared a throwback picture from her college days when she took oath as Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) President from National Students' Union of India (NSUI) and Gupta took oath as General Secretary from ABVP.

"This memorable photo from 1995 - when Rekha Gupta and I took oath together- I won the Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) president post from NSUI and Rekha won the post of ABVP General Secretary. Congratulations and best wishes to Rekha Gupta.
Congratulations to Delhi for getting its fourth woman Chief Minister and we hope that mother Yamuna will be clean and daughters will be safe," she wrote.
Rekha Gupta defeated AAP’s Bandana Kumari by 29,595 votes in 2025 Delhi Assembly elections. BJP has chosen her to hold the reigns of national capital and she will be the fourth Woman Chief Minister of Delhi. The event also holds significant reverance as BJP has gained power after nearly three decades after achieving a thumping victory in Delhi assembly polls.
