Punjabi singer Inder Kaur murder case: Police issue LOC against Canada-based main accused Sukhwinder Sukha
PTC Web Desk: The Punjab Police have intensified the investigation into the murder of Punjabi singer Inder Kaur by issuing a Look Out Circular (LOC) against the prime accused, Sukhwinder Singh alias Sukha, a resident of Mahla village in Moga district who is believed to be based in Canada.
The singer’s body was recovered from the Neelon canal near Samrala on May 19 after she had reportedly been missing for several days. Following the recovery, the police launched an extensive probe and registered a case under charges related to murder and abduction.
During the investigation, the police identified Sukhwinder Singh as the main suspect in the case. Preliminary findings revealed that the accused and the singer had known each other for nearly six years. Investigators suspect that Sukhwinder Singh had allegedly been pressuring Inder Kaur to marry him against her wishes.
Police sources said the singer had refused the marriage proposal, which is believed to have triggered the crime. Officials further stated that the accused’s father, Pritam Singh, was allegedly aware of the matter and had supported the proposal.
Acting on the evidence gathered so far, the police have detained the accused’s father along with two of his associates for questioning. Authorities have also issued an LOC to prevent the prime accused from evading arrest internationally.
