Woman's body found severely mutilated in Noida's posh locality; head, hands chopped off
PTC News Desk: A woman's dismembered body recovered from a drain in Noida’s Sector 108 on Thursday, creating panic among residents. The body was found in a mutilated state, with both hands and the head severed, the police said, adding that efforts were underway to identify the victim.
The state of the body has made identification difficult, leading police to suspect that the murder may have taken place elsewhere and the body was later dumped in the Sector 108 drain to hide the victim’s identity.
An official at the scene said a special team has been formed to conduct a detailed investigation, and all possible leads are being followed. Forensic experts have been called to gather evidence, and the area around the drain has been sealed off.
Police are also scanning CCTV footage from nearby cameras to spot any suspicious movement and trace how and when the body was brought there.
Patrolling in the area has been intensified, and residents have been urged to report any missing persons or unusual activity to help with the investigation.
