Yamuna river in Delhi set to cross danger mark by 11 am: Minister Atishi warns
New Delhi, July 10: According to Delhi Minister Atishi, the Yamuna River in Delhi is expected to surpass the danger mark by approximately 11 am on Tuesday. This surge is due to the discharge of a significant volume of water from the upper regions of the river.
The Minister of Public Works Department personally assessed the readiness for evacuation and relief efforts.

Atishi stated that the Yamuna is rapidly filling with water, flowing swiftly towards Delhi, as a result of heavy rainfall in northern Indian states. Yesterday morning, around 43,000 cusecs of water was being released from Haryana into the Yamuna, which has now increased to nearly three lakh cusecs.

The warning level for water in the Yamuna River in Delhi is set at 204.5 meters, while the danger mark stands at 205.33 meters.
