New ministers assume office in presence of Captain Amarinder Singh The newly-inducted ministers in the Punjab government, today assume office in the presence of Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh.

Here a list of the nine new ministers in the cabinet who took oath on Saturday - Five-time MLA from Amritsar Central O P Soni, Four-time MLA Rana Gurmit Sodhi (Guru Har Sahai constituency) and three-time legislators Sukhjinder Randhawa (Dera Baba Nanak), Gurpreet Kangar (Rampura Phul), Sukhbinder Sarkaria (Raja Sansi) and Balbir Sidhu (Mohali).

Youth leader and Sangrur MLA Vijay Inder Singla, two-time MLA Sunder Sham Arora from Hoshiarpur and two-time MLA from Ludhiana West Bharat Bhushan Ashu, are among the other new ministers.

They were administered the oath of office and secrecy by Governor VP Singh Badnore at a simple ceremony at the Raj Bhawan here on Saturday evening. -PTC News
