One whose heart beats for farmers can never lose this battle: Sukhbir Badal on Rakesh Tikait
Kisan Andolan at Ghazipur border: Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal on Friday extended support to Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) leader Rakesh Tikait whose tears became turning point of the movement.
"One whose heart beats for farmers can never lose this Battle! It is unfortunate to see @Uppolice resorting to dictatorial measures with Rakesh Tikait, the senior farmer leader," Sukhbir Singh Badal wrote.

"Every farmer stands with Rakesh ji. Our unity and integrity will ensure victory against the 3 #FarmLaws," the SAD President added.
He further said, "Today is a momentous day for democracy." "Shiromani Akali Dal has taken lead to become voice of farmers in Parliament by registering strong protest against efforts to suppress them by boycotting President’s address. We'll raise our voice against this tyrannical govt until 3 Agri Laws are repealed."

Likewise, former Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal took to Twitter and wrote: "The people have spoken. They will not tolerate tyranny. SAD is boycotting the President’s address to parliament and will serve as the voice of farmers in Parliament and expose the dirty tricks of GOI to defame and suppress the peaceful Kisan Andolan. Farmers will be victorious."
Bharatiya Kisan Union (BKU) spokesperson Rakesh Tikait, at Ghazipur border, said that "We will not vacate the spot. We will talk to the Government of India about our issues. I urge the people to remain peaceful."
