PM Narendra Modi may visit Punjab for first time after farmers' protest
With just a few months to go for the 2022 Punjab Assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to be in the state for the first time after the farmers' protest.
The BJP is leaving no stone unturned to gain ground in Punjab ahead of Assembly elections 2022. This could also be an X factor for Punjab for the BJP party.

PM Narendra Modi is expected to visit Punjab soon and there has been strong buzz that he may visit the poll-bound state in the last week of December. He is likely to share a stage with prominent leaders, including his alliance partner Captain Amarinder Singh.

However, former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has denied the news saying that 'he is not aware of this.'
Soon after the Union government repealed the farm laws and agreed to the farmers' demands that led to the end of the protest, the situation in the state seems to be normalised.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister is expected to visit the state at least once before the code of conduct is announced by the Election Commission of India. He is expected to make big-ticket announcements.
One of the BJP leaders said that "We are hoping the tempers will calm down soon."
Punjab Assembly elections are scheduled to be held in early 2022.
