In joint operation, Punjab Police arrest gangster Lakhbir Landa's close aide Anmoldeep Soni from Kharar
Mohali, September 13: The Punjab Police on Tuesday arrested a close aide of Canada-based gangster Lakhbir Singh Landa, identified as Anmoldeep Soni, from Kharar.
The gangster was arrested during a joint operation by the Anti-Gangster Task Force, CIA and the Punjab police. The CIA staff is currently interrogating the gangster.
Lakhbir Singh, alias Landa, is the main conspirator of the recent attack on the office of the Punjab Intelligence Bureau in Mohali.
Earlier, officials from the Anti-Gangster Task Force arrested two persons on September 8, while four managed to flee. Four pistols, 16 cartridges, two cellphones and a motorcycle were recovered from the possession of the accused. As per sources, the arrested accused used to carry out criminal activities at the behest of Lakhbir Singh Landa.
