Amit Shah reveals reason for Congress' Ayodhya Ram Temple event snub at BJP gathering

PTC News Desk: At the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national convention in New Delhi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on the opposition, particularly the INDIA bloc, accusing its leaders of aiming to secure prominent positions for their family members within their respective parties. Shah emphasised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of fostering a self-reliant India, contrasting it with what he perceives as the familial ambitions of opposition leaders.

Shah singled out various leaders, including Sonia Gandhi, Pawar Saheb, Mamata Banerjee, MK Stalin, Lalu Yadav, Uddhav Thackeray, and Mulayam Singh Yadav, alleging that their political agendas revolve around promoting their relatives to positions of power. He questioned whether parties driven by dynastic interests could genuinely prioritise the welfare of the underprivileged.

Furthermore, Shah accused the Congress of indulging in appeasement politics, citing its refusal to attend the Ram temple consecration ceremony as an example. He argued that such actions undermined the democratic spirit of the nation. In his address, Shah asserted that under PM Modi's leadership, India has experienced significant development over the past decade, with corruption, nepotism, appeasement, and casteism being addressed. He praised the BJP government for empowering marginalised communities such as Dalits, Adivasis, and backward classes.
