India promotes tourism while Pakistan focuses on terror: PM Modi in Bhuj
PTC Web Desk: In a fiery address from Bhuj, Gujarat, on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a fierce critique of Pakistan, accusing the neighbouring nation of using terrorism as a strategic tool. Drawing a stark contrast between the two countries, PM Modi said, “India believes in tourism to unite people. But for Pakistan, terrorism seems to be their version of tourism — and that’s a danger to the entire world.”
The Prime Minister’s remarks come in the wake of Operation Sindoor, a major Indian military offensive conducted on May 6-7. The operation targeted nine terror hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK), including infrastructure linked to banned outfits Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba. These strikes were a direct response to the brutal Pahalgam massacre, where 26 persons— mostly tourists — were killed on April 22 by Pakistan-backed terrorists.
Highlighting India's firm stance on terror, PM Modi said, “We waited for 15 days to see if Pakistan would act against the perpetrators of Pahalgam. But when they did nothing, I gave our forces complete freedom to respond.”
PM Modi emphasized that India's response was decisive and targeted only terror infrastructure. “We had warned them — stay quiet, and we won’t target you. But they chose otherwise, and now their airbases are still in the ICU,” he said, referring to the damage inflicted during the strikes.
The Prime Minister warned Pakistan to choose peace or be ready to face India’s military might. “Live peacefully, eat your bread quietly — or else, my bullet is always ready,” he declared.
Through Operation Sindoor, PM Modi reaffirmed India’s zero-tolerance policy on terrorism, underlining that any harm to Indian lives will be met with strong and swift retaliation.
