Himachal PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh all set to to marry Dr Amreen Kaur on September 22 in Chandigarh
PTC Web Desk: Preparations are in full swing as Himachal Pradesh PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh is set to tie the knot with Dr Amreen Kaur on September 22 in Chandigarh. Vikramaditya Singh's ancestral residence, Holly Lodge in Shimla, has been beautifully decorated with colourful lights, creating a festive ambiance ahead of the wedding. The minister himself shared a glimpse of the illuminated house through a video on his social media.
According to family sources, Vikramaditya Singh will leave for Chandigarh on September 21, accompanied by his mother Pratibha Singh, relatives from the maternal side, his sister, brother-in-law, and close friends.
The wedding ceremony, as per Sikh traditions (Anand Karaj), will take place at House No. 38, Sector 2, Chandigarh, the residence of the bride, at 10 am on September 22. A lunch will be hosted at 1 pm, following which the groom will return to Shimla with his bride. A traditional wedding reception (Vadhu Pravesh) will then be held at Holly Lodge in the evening.
Dr Amreen Kaur is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Panjab University, Chandigarh. This will be Vikramaditya Singh’s second marriage. He was earlier married to Sudarshana Chundawat of the Amet royal family in Rajasthan on March 8, 2019. However, the couple recently parted ways following a divorce two months ago. Singh’s longstanding friendship with Amreen, which began nearly a decade ago during his frequent visits to Chandigarh, eventually blossomed into a relationship.
Vikramaditya Singh, currently serving as Public Works and Urban Development Minister in Himachal Pradesh, represents Shimla Rural constituency for the second consecutive term. He is the son of late six-time Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, one of the most prominent political leaders in Himachal’s history.
