108 Ambulance Staff ends strike after assurance from Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh
Chandigarh, January 18: Punjab’s 108 Ambulance Employees’ Association on Wednesday ended its indefinite strike after assurance from state Health Minister Dr Balbir Singh.
Notably, the state Health Minister earlier in the day held a meeting with the Association and assured it to accept all their demands.
The 108 Ambulance staff were protesting for several days at the Ladhowal Toll Plaza.
The employee’s union had demanded that the Aam Aadmi Party-led Punjab government take back control of the service from the private company Ziqitza Health Care Limited operating the 325 ambulances.
