AAP MLA Raman Arora arrested in fresh case, a day after he gets bail
PTC News Desk: Just a day after securing bail from the Punjab and Haryana High Court in a corruption case filed by the Vigilance Bureau, MLA Raman Arora now faces a fresh case registered at Rama Mandi police station.
A senior police officer confirmed that once he is released from Nabha jail on Thursday, the formal process of arrest will be initiated, and he will be produced before the local court the same day.
The new FIR, lodged on August 30 by a private institution, accuses the MLA of extortion. Arora had earlier been arrested on May 23 in a graft case, in which Municipal Corporation officials, including Assistant Town Planner Sukhdev Singh and Inspector Harpreet Kaur, were also taken into custody.
Meanwhile, the Vigilance Bureau has also booked his son, who has already secured anticipatory bail from the court.
