AAP MP Harbhajan Singh opposes bulldozer action on drug peddlers' residences in Punjab
PTC News Desk: Former cricketer and Aam Aadmi Party MP Harbhajan Singh has opposed bulldozer action on residences of drug peddlers in Punjab. Harbhajan Singh has issued a contradicting statement from party's ideology.
AAP MP has asserted that he is not in favour of demolishing the house of people who sell drugs.
"If something has been built, someone has a roof over his head, so in my opinion demolishing the house is not a good option. Things can be figured out. If someone has acquired government land then this kind of action is justified," said Harbhajan Singh.
Notably, under the banner of 'War against Drug' campaign, Punjab government after a high level meeting announced that properties built with illegally earned money through drug smuggling will be demolished. A four member panel lead by party state president Aman Arora was also constituted to oversee the actions.
