BSF, Punjab Police recover Pakistani drone and heroin from Tarn Taran in two different joint search ops
PTC News Desk: A joint team of Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police, on Tuesday recovered another nefarious attempt of smugglers in Punjab’s Tarn Taran’s Wan village.
The drone and consignment of contraband item was recovered in two different operations near Wan village in Punjab’s Tarn Taran following a search operation launched by BSF and Punjab Police on specific information.
On the October 24, 2023 at around 11:28 am, BSF intercepted movement of suspected drone near Wan village in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district.
Further a joint search operation by BSF and Punjab Police, a drone in a joint search ops with Punjab Police was carried - out. During the search at about 12:15 pm, a drone in broken condition along with one packet of suspected contraband item (Gross wt. - 420 gm) wrapped with yellow adhesive tape, attached with a ring for hanging it with drone and 01 battery (5000 mAH) of drone was recovered from the farming field adjacent of Wan village in Punjab’s Tarn Taran district.
The recovered drone is a Quadcopter of model DJI Mavic 3 Classic
BSF Punjab Frontier also took to their official Twitter handle and wrote, “After forward-deployed #BSF troops intercepted the movement of a drone, @BSF_Punjab & @PunjabPolice launched a joint search operation and recovered 01 Pakistani #drone (Quadcopter, model-DJI Mavic 3 Classic) &01 packet, suspected to be #Heroine (Approx weight-420 gms) from a field, on the outskirts of Vill.- Wan, Dist.- Tarn Taran, Punjab. #PakDroneBiteTheDust #AlertBSF #JaiHind.”

In another nefarious attempt of smugglers in Punjab’s Tarn Taran, bottle filled with suspected to be contraband item (heroin) was recovered.
During the early hours on October 24, 2023, on specific information regarding presence of consignment of contraband item dropped by drone, BSF troops carried out search operation on the outskirt in Punjab’s Tarn Taran’s Mastgarh village.

During the search operation at around 09:30 am, troops recovered one small bottle filled with suspected contraband item (Gross wt. - 356 gm) (attached with a ring for hanging it with drone), from paddy field near Canal bundh of Tarn Taran’s Mastgarh village.
Vigilant troops of BSF and Punjab Police once again recovered the nefarious design of smugglers.
