Dera Beas chief Gurinder Singh Dhillon calls on SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia at Nabha jail
PTC Web Desk: Security was heightened around the Nabha jail on Tuesday as Dera Beas chief Gurinder Singh Dhillon visited Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia. The two held a private meeting lasting approximately 30 minutes. After the discussion, Gurinder Singh Dhillon briefly addressed a group of devotees gathered outside the jail.
Following the jail visit, he proceeded to Hira Mahal, the residence of the royal family descendants of Nabha, and met family members.
The jail administration reportedly denied entry to several senior SAD leaders, including Dr Daljit Singh Cheema, Sikander Singh Maluka, Mahesh Inder Grewal, and Virsa Singh Valtoha, citing rules that allow visits only from immediate family members.
Majithia is currently lodged in Nabha jail in connection with a disproportionate assets case. The purpose of Dhillon’s visit has not been disclosed.
