According to the Daily Diary Report (DDR) filed by the Pinjore police, Shori Hospital in Pinjore allegedly refused to provide immediate first aid to the injured Jawanda in time.

High Court issues notice to Punjab government on plea citing doctors' negligence after Rajvir Jawanda's accident

PTC News Desk: The Punjab and Haryana High Court has issued a notice to the to the Punjab government on a  petition filed over the death of Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda who died in a road accident.  


According to the Daily Diary Report (DDR) filed by the Pinjore police, Shori Hospital in Pinjore allegedly refused to provide immediate first aid to the injured Jawanda in time.

Following the incident, Lawyers for Human Rights International filed a petition in the Punjab and Haryana Hich Court expressing concern over the insensitivity and negligence of doctors in hospitals across Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.  In response, the High Court has issued a notice to the government seeking a reply.

The petition also demands that state governments and authorities ensure no hospital denies emergency medical aid to any injured person.'

Rajvir Jawanda succumbed to his injuries on October 8 at Fortis Hospital in Mohali after 11-day long battle. He met with a major road accident in Himachal Pradesh on September 27 and he was brought to Fortis in a critical condition. 

The 35-year-old singer was on his way to Shimla when he lost control of his motorcycle due to stray animals and collided with a speeding truck.
