Jalandhar fire mishap: Three kids among six of family charred to death after refrigerator compressor blast
PTC News Desk: In a horrific, unfortunate and unsettling mishap from Punjab’s Jalandhar, three kids among six members of the family charred to death, one injured after refrigerator compressor blast.
The dreadful incident unfolded on Sunday night at around 10 pm in Street Number 13, Avtar Nagar, Jalandhar claiming lives of five members of the same family.
The painful and distressing incident took place due to the gas leak from compressor of the refrigerator in the house, which led to massive fire in the house.
The blast resulted in the release of gases, which subsequently ignited, causing the fire.
Tragically, the inhaling of these gases proved fatal for the six family members.
The victims have been identified as Yashpal Ghai (70), Ruchi Ghai (40), Mansha (14), Diya (12), Akshay (10) and Inderpal.
According to the neighbours, several blast and explosions were heard from inside the house and soon the entire house engulfed in flames after which a team of fire tenders and police officials immediately reached the spot.
Fire tenders arrived on the scene and were able to extinguish the fire.
According the the investigation conducted on Sunday night, five members of the family claimed dead and one member Inderpal suffered multiple burn injuries was admitted to the hospital, however succumbed to injuries today morning.
