Lawrence Bishnoi's associate held after fierce encounter with Mohali police and AGTF
PTC News Desk: A fierce encounter broke out between the gangsters and Mohali police and AGTF in Punjab's Dera Bassi, injuring a Lawrence Bishnoi gang member on Tuesday afternoon.
He was immediately admitted to hospital and is currently undergoing treatment.
Bishnoi's associate is identified as Sumit Bishnoi, a native of Rajasthan, wanted in a May 2025 murder case in Hanumangarh.
“He was staying in a paying guest accommodation. Cops surrounded him today and when asked to surrender, Bishnoi fired at cops,” police said. In retaliation, police fired at him during which he was injured and held.
The preliminary investigation suggests that the suspect had planned a major attack in Punjab, which has now been foiled by the Punjab police.
