Lohri celebration turns tragic: Brother-sister duo killed as speedy Thar rams into car near Jagroan
PTC News Desk: In a tragic incident, a brother-sister duo was killed in a major road accident after a speedy Thar rammed into a Swift Dzire they were travelling in killing them on the spot. The Thar driver also got seriously injured in the accident.
The car’s airbags opened upon impact during the crash. The Thar driver, identified as 42-year-old Inderjit Singh from Goindwal village in Raikot, was first taken to Jagraon Civil Hospital and later shifted to a private hospital for further treatment.
According to sources, Inderjit Singh was travelling from Moga to Ludhiana in his Thar. As he approached Moga Road, he suddenly lost control of the vehicle, which then collided with a white Swift Dzire coming from the opposite direction. Following the impact, the Swift Dzire crashed into a truck parked near a roadside eatery.
The victims were identified as Jabar Singh (34) and his sister Hardeep Kaur (45), both residents of Bagha Purana. The siblings were reportedly returning from a Lohri celebration at their younger sister’s home in Ludhiana when the fatal accident took place near Jagraon.
