Mohali student brutally attacked by 20-25 youths in Dera Bassi, critical
PTC News Desk: A Mohali student was attacked outside Shri Sukhmani Engineering College on Tuesday in Dera Bassi. Around 20–25 youths inflicted serious injuries to the victim Harsh Rana. Soon after the attack, he was rushed to GMCH Sector-32 in Chandigarh.
The entire incident was captured on CCTV installed outside the college, based on which the police have begun their investigation. The attack is believed to be linked to an old rivalry.
Other students present at the spot immediately rushed the injured Harsh to the Dera Bassi hospital. Seeing his critical condition, doctors referred him to GMCH-32, Chandigarh, where he is currently undergoing treatment.
The CCTV footage clearly shows a large group of youths attacking Harsh. The police have taken the footage into their possession and begun identifying the attackers.
According to Dera Bassi police station officials, the accused have been identified and will be arrested soon. The police are also investigating the case from the angle of an old dispute.
