Money laundering case: ED raids residence of former Congress minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu in Ludhiana
ED raids Bharat Bhushan Ashu: The trouble mounted for the former Congress minister Bharat Bhushan Ashu as the Enforcement Directorate on Thursday raided premises of the ex-Punjab minister in Ludhiana over Money Laundering case.
According to the sources, under Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), Enforcement Directorate conducted raids at more than 10 locations at Ludhiana and Nawanshehr this morning.

The investigation and searches of ED is connected to claims of irregularities and claims of accepting kickbacks through intermediaries for undermining the quality and conditions of food procurement and transportation tenders.
ED also conducted searches and investigation at the premises and locations of close aides of Bharat Bhushan Ashu including several members of the Food and Supplies Department, ex-Congress Councilor Sunny Bhalla, Ashu’s PA PA Inderjit Indi, former LIT chairman RamanSubramanium.
Heavy police forces has been also deployed outside the residence of the ex-minister and the entire area cordoned off.
Notably, Bharat Bhushan Ashu served as the Cabinet Minister of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Government of Punjab.
