Patiala: MC removes Navjot Singh Sidhu's hoarding across city
Patiala, January 26: Patiala Municipal Corporation took a bold action against Navjot Singh Sidhu on Thursday morning.
Municipal Corporation removed the hoardings of Navjot Singh Sidhu from the district. The hoardings were put up by Sidhu’s supporters to celebrate the expected release of Sidhu and to welcome him.

This move is expected to create a ruckus in the district and disappoint his supporters as well.
On the other hand, Navjot Kaur Sidhu targeted the Punjab government alleging the government to intentionally hold Sidhu’s release.
Along with Navjot Singh Sidhu, the release of another 51 prisoners has been put on hold who were expected to have a special remission under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. As per the sources, the Punjab government has not submitted the file for Sidhu’s release to the Governor.
There has been no official statement/confirmation from Punjab government over Sidhu’s premature release on Republic Day. Sidhu has been serving a year’s sentence followed by his conviction in 1988 Road Rage Case.
