PTC Network slaps The Tribune with Rs 10-crore legal notice over false report
The PTC Network has slapped The Tribune with a Rs 10 crore legal notice over a defamatory report by the English daily on the issue of Gurbani broadcast from the Golden Temple.
The Tribune has published a misinformed report about PTC's exclusive rights to broadcast Gurbani from Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib and the channel's year-on-year growth.
The Tribune also cited a report by of a sub-committee constituted after the orders of Sri Akal Takht Sahib and alleged that PTC Network rose to nearly Rs 1,000 crore from a humble beginning with a capital of less than Rs 3 crore. The claims are however wrong and no such committee was constituted by Sri Akal Takht Sahib.

The PTC organisation has sent a 10-crore legal notice to The Tribune for allegedly tarnishing the channel's reputation.
Court action will be initiated if payment is not made within 14 days of receiving the notice.
