Punjab: BSF, Punjab Police recover heroin from Gurdaspur’s Durgi village

PTC News Desk: A joint team of Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police, on Wednesday recovered another nefarious attempt of smugglers in Punjab’s Gurdaspur village.

The drone was recovered near Durgi village in Punjab’s Gurdaspur following a search operation launched by BSF and Punjab Police on specific information. 



In a joint search operation by Punjab Police and BSF on December 6, 202 during evening hours on specific information regarding the presence of a consignment of contraband items, recovered one packet of contraband item suspected to be Heroin (Gross weight - approximately 555 grams) wrapped with yellow adhesive tape was recovered from a sugarcane field on the outskirts of Village Dugri, District - Gurdaspur.

BSF Punjab Frontier also took to their official X handle (former Twitter) and wrote, “On specific intelligence input,  @BSF_Punjab & @PunjabPoliceInd launched a joint search operation & recovered a packet, suspected to contain #heroin (Approx weight- 555 gms) from a sugarcane field, in the outskirts of Village- Dugri, District- Gurdaspur.”
