Punjab Cabinet expansion: Inderbir Nijjar resigns; two new ministers to be inducted
Chandigarh, May 30: Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant will expand his Cabinet. The CM has forwarded the resignation of Local Government Minister Dr Inderbir Singh Nijjar from the Council of Ministers to Governor Banwari Lal Purohit for early acceptance.
A spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office on Tuesday informed that in a communique to the Governor, Bhagwant Mann has urged him to accept the resignation of Dr Nijjar who has tendered his resignation on personal grounds.
As per the information received MLA Gurmeet Singh Khudian from Lambi and MLA Balkar Singh from Kartarpur will take oath as a Minister in the state cabinet on Wednesday.
AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal will also be in Chandigarh tomorrow.
