Punjab govt transfers IAS, PCS officers; Akshita Gupta appointed Director IPR
PTC Web Desk: The Punjab Government on Wednesday ordered the transfer and posting of IAS and PCS officers with immediate effect, according to an official notification issued by the Personnel Department.
As per the orders, Akshita Gupta, IAS (2021), who was serving as Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Phagwara, has been appointed Director, Information and Public Relations (IPR), Punjab, replacing Vimal Kumar Setia, IAS.
Meanwhile, Navneet Kaur Bal, PCS (2020), at present Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Kapurthala, has been posted as Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), Kapurthala, and in addition, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Phagwara, in place of Akshita Gupta.
In another order, Deepankar Garg, PCS (2020), who was serving as Deputy Secretary, General Administration and Coordination, and holding additional charge as Additional Managing Director, Punjab Agro Industries Corporation Ltd, has been entrusted with additional charge of Deputy Secretary, Information and Public Relations, while continuing his existing responsibilities.
The notification further stated Vimal Kumar Setia, IAS (2010) has been directed to report to the Secretary, Personnel, for further orders. All officers concerned have been instructed to join their new postings immediately. The orders were issued with the approval of Chief Secretary K A P Sinha.
