Punjab: Ludhiana businessman and AAP leader Anokh Mittal plotted wife’s murder, arrested
PTC Web Desk: In a shocking revelation, the Ludhiana Police have solved the murder case of a businessman's wife, Lipsi Mittal, uncovering that her husband, Anokh Mittal, who is also an Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader, masterminded the entire plot. Mittal allegedly hired contract killers to eliminate his wife, orchestrating the crime with meticulous planning.
According to police reports, Anokh Mittal was involved with another woman, which became the primary motive behind the crime. In collaboration with his girlfriend, Anokh Mittal conspired to get rid of his wife. He made two failed attempts earlier before finally succeeding.
The police have arrested Anokh Mittal along with his female accomplice and four hired assassins involved in the murder. The police said Mittal had paid the killers to carry out the heinous act.
Notably, in horrifying and tragic incident, Lipsi Mittal, the wife of AAP leader and prominent businessman Anokh Mittal, was brutally murdered by armed robbers late Saturday evening. The couple was returning home from a dinner in Dehlo when the attack occurred.
Giving information, Ludhiana Police Commissioner Kuldeep Chahal said Alok Mittal orchestrated his wife’s murder due to his extramarital affair. Mittal’s girlfriend has also been arrested for her involvement in the conspiracy.
According to the police, Mittal paid Rs 2.5 lakh for the contract killing. He initially paid Rs 50,000 and promised to pay the remaining Rs 2 lakh after the job was done. The Police Commissioner said, “The husband was the mastermind behind the entire crime. Although his girlfriend was not present at the crime scene, she was deeply involved in the conspiracy.”
Investigations revealed that Mittal had planned to kill his wife twice before but failed. He was allegedly motivated by his extramarital relationship, which his wife had discovered. This led him to plot her murder.
Mittal hired contract killers from Sahnewal and Dhandari areas to execute the murder. The vehicle used in the crime has been impounded, and the police are investigating the criminal backgrounds of the arrested individuals.
