SGPC chief election: Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami is SAD candidate for SGPC chief
SGPC President Elections: Shiromani Akali Dal President Sukhbir Singh Badal after extensive discussions with Shiromani Committee members and senior leaders of the party, SAD named Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami as party candidate for post of SGPC chief for the annual elections of Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) which is to be held on November 8, 2023.
Shiromani Akali Dal Spokesperson Dr Daljit Singh Cheema took to his X handle (former Twitter) to make the announcement of the SAD candidate for post of SGPC chief an wrote, “SAD President S Sukhbir Singh Badal announced S Harjinder Singh Dhami as the candidate of SAD for the post of President of SGPC in the annual election being held tomorrow. S Badal said that all Members of the SGPC of my party has expressed full confidence in his working in my one to one meetings with them. So he will remain our choice for present election.”

Meanwhile, SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal also took to his social media handle to extend his best wishes to Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami and wrote, “I extend my best wishes to Adv Harjinder Singh Dhami ji on being nominated as the Shiromani Akali Dal candidate for the post of @SGPCAmritsar president. We are fully satisfied with his performance in his previous tenure and pray to Gurusahab to give him yet another chance to serve this prestigious institution of the Khalsa panth.”
