'Your 4th birthday without you..: Sidhu Moosewala’s parents share heartfelt tributes on his birth anniversary
Sidhu Moosewala birth anniversary: On the birth anniversary of Punjabi singer and rapper Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala, his parents, Balkaur Singh and Charan Kaur, have shared emotional messages on Instagram, remembering their son and expressing the pain of his loss.
In a heartfelt post written in Punjabi, Balkaur Singh said while time had taught him how to live with the grief, he had still not been able to accept his son's absence. He recalled that many people had believed that Moosewala would gradually be forgotten, but the immense love and support shown by fans for his music and ideas had proved them wrong.
He said whenever he sees the affection people continue to shower on Moosewala, it feels as if his son is still alive in the hearts of millions. Wishing his “lion-hearted son” on his birthday, Balkaur Singh wrote that God had taught him how to live without his son, but never how to forget him.
Moosewala’s mother Charan Kaur also shared an emotional note. She wrote, “Today is your fourth birthday without you. A lot has changed in these four years, but one thing has not changed — the wait for you. Even today, when I pass by your room, I feel as if you will open the door and walk out.”
She added that no matter how famous Moosewala had become for the world, for her he would always remain the little child she once carried in her arms.
Despite his untimely death, Sidhu Moosewala’s popularity continues to remain strong. Since his passing, his team has released 13 songs featuring his vocals, all of which have received a positive response from fans.
The singer’s team is also preparing to launch the “Signed to God World Tour”, which will use advanced 3D hologram projection technology to recreate Moosewala’s stage performances. The tour is expected to travel across eight countries, including India, Pakistan, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the UAE, Australia and New Zealand.
Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead on May 29, 2022, at Jawaharke village of Punjab’s Mansa district at the age of 28. He had also contested the 2022 Punjab Assembly elections from Mansa on a Congress ticket.
