Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu's close aids arrested in Rs- 30 lakh extortion case
PTC News Desk: MoS Ravneet Bittu's close associate Rajiv Raja has been arrested by district police for allegedly demanding ransom of Rs 30 lakhs from an industrialist. Besides Raja, police has also taken two other people in custody in connection with the case.
Ravneet Bittu slammed Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann over arrest of his close associates. Bittu took to his social media platform X and said, "“My very close associate, with whom my family has a generational relationship, Rajesh Attri, has been arrested this morning. Bhagwant Mann, drunk with power, has arrested two of my innocent associates and is conducting raids on the homes of other associates.”
Bittu's another close aide Rajesh Attri has been arrested under the SC/ST Act by the Civil Lines police. The arrest was made after a complaint was lodged by a Lahori Gate resident in Patiala.
According to police officials, the complainant has alleged that Attri used derogatory remarks against him during a mistaken Whatsapp call on Sunday, following which a case has been registered and accused is arrested.
Bittu came down heavily on Punjab government said Ludhiana Police has raided 10 places. The police are raiding my close ones and implicating the youth in false cases. He further said that Bhagwant Singh Mann is intoxicated with power.
