Zirakpur: Gangster Taranjit Singh shot in leg during encounter with police, cop injured
PTC News Desk: Gangster Taranjit Singh alias Jassa Haibowalia was shot in the leg by police after an encounter broke out between police and gangsters in Pirmuchhalla of Zirakpur. A police officer was also injured during this, informed the Anti-Gangster Task Force.
According to AGTF, police arrived at the scene to seize a pistol in connection with a murder investigation, but the gangster attempted to flee.
Officers fired in the air first, then shot him in the leg. He was apprehended in an injured state, but his current condition is unknown. Six bullets struck the gangster, according to reports.
A cop was also injured during this.
Jassa is the ' most wanted' suspect in six murder cases.
