Punjab government gives Rs 5-lakh financial assistance to veteran actor Satish Kaul
The state government on Friday gave Rs 5 lakh as financial assistance to ailing veteran actor Satish Kaul. Ludhiana Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Sagar Seti visited the former actor house to provide financial assistance.

The report about deteriorating conditions of veteran actor Satish Kaul was first shown by PTC News Network.
Taking notice of the news report , Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh had directed Ludhiana Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pradeep Kumar Agrawal to send a detailed report about the veteran actor.

Satish kaul has worked in both Punjabi and Hindi movies and has acted in over 300 films, is in Ludhiana these days. Kaul started his career in Hindi cinema with movie Prem Parbat. The actor has been living alone after his divorce as his wife and son shifted to the USA. He had also started an acting school but failed and was left penniless.

He also suffered a spinal fracture and was left bed ridden with no money . Satish Kaul was later taken to an old age home in Doraha and from there he was brought to Ludhiana by Mayor Anil Bharti.
While fulfilling commitment, CM @capt_amarinder have sent Rs 5 lac financial help to iconic artist Satish Kaul. SDM Ldh (W) Sagar Setia handed over the cheque to Mr Kaul today.
