Punjab government issues new guidelines for reopening of more activities
The cinema halls in Punjab have been allowed to reopen with effect from November 1 with up to 50 percent capacity of their seating capacity in areas outside containment zones as per the Standard Operating Procedures issued by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (MoI&B), Government of India.

Likewise, the entertainment parks and similar places in areas outside containment zones have been permitted as per the SOPs issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoH&FW), Government of India.
Earlier, the Punjab Government had announced the reopening of schools in the state in subject to the following conditions:
Likewise, the swimming pools in the state were allowed to open as per the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
The gatherings for entertainment shall not be permitted in excess of 100 persons.
