Punjab reports 417 fresh Covid-19 cases in 24 hours
While coronavirus cases across the country have been rising rapidly, Punjab on Sunday reported 417 cases of Covid-19 and 3 deaths.
With these new cases, Punjab's Covid-19 tally has increased to 6,05,509 while the death toll has climbed to 16,648. The number of active cases of coronavirus in Punjab now stands at 1,369.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi said that he was constantly monitoring the current situation with the Health, Medical Education and Research and other line departments to put in place all the requisite health and medical infrastructure in place to effectively tackle any emergency in case the situation so warrants.
He also said that the overall situation in Punjab was under control and that people were being sensitized to take all precautionary measures as per health protocols to check the further spread of the virus.
In another order, the administration has announced that Sukhna Lake will remain closed on Sundays.
