Punjabi singer Jaswinder Brar’s remarks on Lord Rama court controversy
Chandigarh, August 26: Punjabi singer Jaswinder Brar’s remarks Lord Rama has courted controversy. It is being alleged that Punjabi singer Jaswinder Brar used ‘very rude’ and ‘fabricated’ language about Shri Ram Chandraji's father Dasharthji during an interview with a private channel.

The Hindu and Valmiki community have written to the police administration seeking strict action against the singer. Bhagwan Valmiki Veer Sena, Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bhagwan Valmiki Shakti Dal, Anti-Crime and Animal Protection Association office bearers have opened front against the singer and given a strike threat too, if action not taken.
A delegation met the DCP Amritsar and issued a demand letter to take action against the said singer under the charge of hurting religious sentiments. They have alleged that her remarks are contrary to Lord Valmiki's Ramayana. “It is an insult to the holy book Ramayana, with which the hearts of those who have faith in Sanatan Dharma and Ramayana living all over the world have been wounded” mentioned their letter.
They further said that they will never tolerate insult of their holy book Ramayana and its Godly figures.
Delegations from the above-mentioned bodies have appealed government and administration to register a case against singer Jaswinder Brar for hurting religious sentiments and strict legal action should be taken.
“If the government and the administration fail to take strict action, will have to adopt the path of protest , and administration shall be solely responsible for the same” said members of delegation while registering complaint against Jaswinder Brar.
