Raj Kundra pornography case: Mumbai crime branch submits chargesheet in court

The property cell of the Mumbai crime branch on Wednesday submitted a 1,500-page supplementary chargesheet before the Esplanade Court in connection with the pornography case against businessman Raj Kundra.

As per information shared by the Mumbai police on Thursday, the 1,500-page chargesheet contains the statements of 43 witnesses, including Raj Kundra's wife and actress Shilpa Shetty. The statements of actors Sherlyn Chopra, Sejal Shah, several models and employees of Kundra's company have been recorded in the chargesheet.

The chargesheet also includes the names of two wanted accused in the case. Raj Kundra was arrested by the police on July 19 along with 11 other persons on charges related to the alleged creation of pornographic films. Meanwhile, actress Shilpa Shetty has told the Mumbai police that she was too busy with her work to know what her husband Raj Kundra was up to. Her statement is part of the chargesheet filed by the Mumbai Police against Raj Kundra and others in the pornography case. The Mumbai police crime branch had busted a pornography racket on February 5. Five persons were arrested in connection with the case at the time. Further probe led to four more arrests in the course of time. A chargesheet that was filed in the pornography case in April had no mention of Raj Kundra.
