Robbers take away ATM with Rs17 lakh in Bhiwani
Robbers took away HDFC ATM machine with Rs 17 lakh cash in it on Thursday in Tosham town, Bhiwani. The CCTV footage recovered from the bank revealed that a gang of 5-6 men took away the machine.
The CCTV footage also revealed that the incident took place around 2:00 am. No guard was present at that time. They uprooted the ATM machine and picked up the machine using iron chains. The robbers tried to damage the CCTV camera with an iron rod. But only the outer lens was damaged, and the camera remained intact.
They dragged the entire machine out. They never tried to break it open, which show signs of pre-planning. The 700 kg of ATM machine was not easy to move. The machine was fixed to the floor, they uprooted it and put the same in the pick-up vehicle and ran away. Bhiwani SP, Ganga Ram Punia told the media sources that the police has got a tip-off about the accused and would be arresting them soon. -PTC NEWS
