Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the occasion of National Unity Day, which is celebrated as the birth anniversary of India's first home minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, remarked on Sunday that for Sardar Patel 'Ek Bharat' meant equal opportunities for all including women, Dalits, deprived section of people, tribal and forest dwellers. Addressing the nation on National Unity Day, PM Narendra Modi said, "'Sabka Prayas' is even more relevant in the Amrit Kaal of Independence. This 'Azadi ka Amrit Kaal' is of unprecedented growth, achieving difficult goals and building the India of Sardar Saheb's dreams." Elaborating this concept, he said, " 'Ek Bharat' is a Bharat that gives equal opportunities to women, Dalits, deprived, tribal and forest dwellers. Where housing, electricity and water is within the reach of everyone without discrimination. The Country is doing the same with 'Sabka Prayas'," he added.
