Ahead of the unstoppable blast in the box office collection of ‘The Kashmir Files’, authorities have imposed Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) in Rajasthan's Kota. The implementation of Section 144 in the city for a month starting from March 22nd to April 21st comes in light of maintenance of law and order due to the screening of ‘The Kashmir Files’ in cinemas and theatres. As the film continues to create buzz, the order reads, “Section 144 will be imposed in Kota from tomorrow, March 22, till April 21, in the view of maintaining law and order with the screening of ‘The Kashmir Files’ and upcoming festivals.” According to the order, Section 144 have been imposed on ‘The Kashmir Files’, in order to avoid large gathering and chaos of people for the screening. Know-reason-behind-Section-144-in-Kota--5 Keeping in view the upcoming festivals in the district, the order is imposed so that every festival should be conducted in a ceremonial manner and people have been banned to take baths in rivers including canals. Moreover, a ban has also been imposed on carrying any sort of weapon, including pistol, gun, rifle, stones, bricks and more except people of the Sikh community as they have to carry Kirpan along with themselves. Meanwhile, Kota North ex-BJP MLA Prahlad Gunjal also said that "A huge 'Chandi march' will be held in the Kota North assembly constituency on Tuesday, therefore Section 144 was imposed and 'The Kashmir Files' is just an excuse." "The government is so scared that Section 144 has been imposed. No power in the world can stop the 'Chandi March' tomorrow, whether the police resort to lathi-charge or arrest," he added.
