Seems third wave of Covid-19 in Delhi is under control: Arvind Kejriwal
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday said that Delhi may have overcome the third wave of the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic. While addressing a press conference, Arvind Kejriwal said that the third wave of coronavirus is under control and that the situation in Delhi seems to have improved with 1,133 new cases being reported in the last 24 hours. He further claimed that each and every coronavirus test conducted in the national capital was genuine and not “fraud”, as reported in other states. Kejriwal also said that there was a time in November when out of every 100 persons tested for Covid-19, around 15 people used to test positive. The positivity rate at that time was 15.26 percent. The total tests done in 24 hours was 87,000, he stated. Meanwhile, the Delhi CM also said there was a time when Delhi had 45,000 active cases of Covid-19, which came down to around 12,000 on Saturday. On the other hand, the recovery rate of the national capital was nearly 96.5 percent. Kejriwal also said that the current daily figure of around 90,000 Covid-19 tests per day in the city was not only the highest in the country but was also one of the highest across the world. -PTC News
