Shimla: Woman dies after being hit by water tanker on Mall road
A woman died after being hit by a private water tanker near Shere Punjab on Mall Road in Shimla on Saturday. The 65 year old woman was identified as Uma Keprate a resident of Chadyana village in Rowlakiarin, Kotkhai. Uma was walking along with her daughter-in-law and grand children when she was hit by the water tanker. Her head collided with the railings after which she was rushed to the hospital. She was declared brought dead. She suffered injuries in head, neck and chest.The driver has been arrested, said ASP Shimla Praveer Thakur. The driver is said to have had a history of epilepsy. -PTC News
