Six boys of Indian origin in Canadian Hockey squad for Odisha World Cup

Six players of Indian origin are among 26 probables named by Field Hockey Canada for the ensuing 2018 Odisha World Cup Hockey Tournament to be played in Bhubaneswar.

Panesar brothers -Balraj and Sukhpal – besides young goalkeeper Iqwinder Gill, defender Brandon Pereira, forward Keegan Pereira, and midfielder Harbir Sidhu are in the run for inclusion in the final squad that will reperesent Canada in the 2018 Odisha world cup Hockey Tournament.

Led by veteran Scott Tupper (270 international caps), midfielder Mark Pearson (232 caps),  and Richard Hildreth (173 caps) are some of the experienced players named for inclusion ion the team.

The probables are Adam Foroese, Adriene d’Andrade, Antoni Kindler, Balraj Panesar, Brad Logan, Brandon Pereira, Boerden Bissett, David Carter, Devonh Naranha-Teixeira, Floris von Son, Gabriel Ho Garcia, Gordon Johnston, Harbir Sidhu, Iain Smythe,  Iqwinder Gill, James Kirpatriek, Jamie Wallace, John Smythe, Keagan Pereira, Mark Pearson,Mathew Sementa,  Oliver Schofield, Richard Hildreth, Scott Tupper, Sukhpal Panesar and  Taylor Curran.
