'22 pandits performed black magic': Pakistan's bizarre claim over defeat against India
PTC News Desk: Within a week of being knocked out of the Champions trophy, Pakistan has been facing a tremendous meltdown as India and New Zealand sealed their semifinal spots. However it took a bizarre turn when Pakistani media blamed black magic for its country's defeat against India.
One of the panellists said, "India ne apne 22 pandit Dubai stadium mein utaar diye. Har player par 2-2 pandit honge. Aur vo itne jaadu tone kar rhe hain ki Pakistani players distract ho rahe hain. Yahi vajah thi ki India Pakistan nahi aana chah raha tha. Kyuki unko pata tha ki India jab Pakistan aayega tab unke pandit yahan nahi aa sakenge. (India had 22 pandits inside the Dubai stadium, two for each player, performing rituals to distract Pakistani cricketers. That is why India refused to play in Pakistan - they knew their pandits wouldn't be able to travel there.)"
Adding fuel to the fire, another panelists said that "They are playing so well out of nowhere. How do you think that is possible? Only through these strategies."
"Even back then, they were seen practising on a 'kaali picth' before the Mohali semi-final." Another added, "Seven pandits were sent to assess the stadium before the match. This is how they carried out their jaadu-tona."
During the debate, they alleged that in 2011, the Indian team practised on a black pitch so to do black magic on Pakistani players. The video of the debate has now gone viral on social media.
