Cricketer Rinku Singh gets engaged to SP MP Priya Saroj in intimate ceremony
PTC News Desk: India and Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) cricketer Rinku Singh got engaged with Member of Parliament Priya Saroj on Sunday June 8. Following in the footsteps of fellow Indian cricketer Kuldeep Yadav, 27-year-old batter Rinku Singh recently got engaged.
Prior to the ceremony, Rinku, along with his family, visited the Chaudhera Wali Vichitra Devi Temple in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, to offer prayers.
The couple made a stylish entrance at the venue, dressed in coordinated white and pink outfits. The engagement was held at Fulcurn Hall, which was elegantly decorated with flowers and colorful lighting. With seating for over 300 guests, the event saw a gathering of notable personalities from both cricket and politics.
Among the guests were senior Samajwadi Party leaders including Akhilesh Yadav, Dimple Yadav, Jaya Bachchan, Shivpal Yadav, and Praveen Kumar. The couple posed for the cameras in elegant traditional outfits.
Rinku Singh and MP Priya Saroj are set to tie the knot on November 18 at the Taj Hotel in Varanasi in a traditional ceremony. The guest list is expected to include prominent figures from cricket, film, politics, and business.
Rinku, a key player for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL, has represented India in two ODIs and 33 T20Is. Priya, aged 26, is a newly elected Member of Parliament from the Machhlishahr constituency in Jaunpur.
Priya’s father, Toofani Saroj—a two-time former MP from the Samajwadi Party—shared that the engagement was a close-knit family affair. The match was arranged with the consent of both families after a meeting in Aligarh.
