PTC Web Desk: Chennai Super Kings' versatile player Ravindra Jadeja showcased his prowess in the recent IPL match against Kolkata Knight Riders by not only contributing with the ball, but also joining the elite 100 catches club alongside Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

Ravindra Jadeja's outstanding performance played a significant role in CSK's victory over KKR. He displayed exceptional fielding skills, completing two crucial catches and claiming three wickets during the match, which helped restrict KKR to a sub-par score of 137/9.

By achieving these catches, Ravindra Jadeja became the fourth player in IPL history to reach the milestone of 100 catches as a fielder. His remarkable catches, including a sharp grab to dismiss Philip Salt for a golden duck on the first ball of KKR's innings and a comfortable catch at deep mid-wicket to dismiss KKR skipper Shreyas Iyer in the 20th over, highlighted his contribution to CSK's fielding efforts.

Virat Kohli, the captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore, currently leads the chart with an impressive tally of 110 catches in 242 matches. Following closely behind is former CSK star Suresh Raina, with 109 catches in 205 matches, and former Mumbai Indians' all-rounder Kieron Pollard with 103 catches in 189 matches.

This achievement by Jadeja adds another feather to his cap, further solidifying his reputation as one of the finest all-rounders in the IPL. His performance not only bolstered CSK's fielding but also contributed significantly to their bowling attack. Jadeja's three wickets for just 18 runs in his four-over spell played a crucial role in restricting KKR to a modest total.

With Jadeja's exceptional fielding and bowling prowess, CSK secured a comprehensive seven-wicket victory over KKR. The win was further bolstered by a standout batting performance from skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, who scored an unbeaten 67 runs, leading CSK to victory with ease.
