Fundraising Plea: Woman from Punjab's Ferozepur seeks urgent help for 22-year-old son's critical treatment | Watch Video
PTC Web Desk: In a heart-wrenching appeal, a distressed mother from a village in Ferozepur, Punjab, is desperately seeking financial assistance for her 22-year-old son, Sarabpreet Singh, battling severe heart and lung complications persisting since 2015.
Facing grave financial strain, the family has exhausted their resources, including Rs 3.30 lakh on essential tests and over Rs 1 lakh on medications over 10 months, draining their savings entirely. Sarabpreet's medical condition, encompassing heart and lung damage, has left him bedridden, prompting his mother to plead for aid from various avenues to save her son's life.
Recounting their arduous journey, she said they sought treatment across reputed medical facilities in Delhi, Gurgaon, and even Medanta, incurring expenses of over Rs 5 lakh so far. Despite extensive efforts and substantial monetary outlay, their attempts to secure financial support have been fruitless.
The family's dire situation compelled the mother to approach NGOs for aid. However, she lamented that although money was credited to the NGOs' accounts, the promised help never reached them.
Their ordeal began when Sarabpreet was diagnosed with a heart defect during his Class 8 schooling, prompting immediate medical attention. Consultations with specialists at PGI Chandigarh revealed that the necessary treatment was only available abroad, placing an enormous financial burden on the family.

Currently reliant on oxygen support, the family struggles to admit Sarabpreet to a hospital due to financial constraints. They estimate a staggering Rs 50 lakh for his treatment, a sum beyond their means.
In her desperate plea for assistance, the mother has resorted to seeking help from the PTC Channel, sharing her contact details for potential donors willing to contribute to her son's treatment.
The direct number has been shared for those willing to help the mother save her young son.
