Chasing reels, risking lives: Delhi youth arrested for daring bike stunt on moving DTC bus; video viral
PTC Web Desk: The race for social media fame landed a 22-year-old man behind bars after he allegedly performed life-threatening motorcycle stunts and harassed passengers aboard a moving bus in northeast Delhi. The accused, identified as Tushar Puniya from Khajuri Khas, was arrested after a video of the incident surfaced online and quickly spread across social media platforms on February 16.
In the viral footage, the youth is seen riding a motorcycle through traffic without a registration number plate. He allegedly attempted to open the doors of vehicles on the road, including a moving DTC bus, putting commuters and motorists at grave risk.

Police officials said the reckless act endangered public safety and prompted swift action. Taking cognisance of the viral clip, a case was registered at New Usmanpur police station.
A dedicated team was assigned to track down the suspect. Investigators examined CCTV footage from nearby locations and carefully analysed the viral video to identify the rider. He was subsequently apprehended, and the motorcycle used during the stunt was seized.
During preliminary investigation, the police found that the motorcycle’s number plate had been intentionally removed, allegedly to avoid identification.
Authorities are now probing whether the accused had been involved in similar acts in the past. Further investigation is ongoing.
