Diljit Dosanjh’s Heart of Gold: Actor-singer says 'will donates entire KBC winnings for Punjab flood relief'
PTC Web Desk: Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh has once again won hearts, not just with his charm but with his compassion. The singer-actor has pledged to donate his entire winnings from Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) to support Punjab flood relief efforts.
Diljit Dosanjh confirmed the news himself in a heartfelt reply to a fan on social media, revealing that he would soon be seen on the quiz show hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, with the special episode scheduled to air later this month.
The generous gesture comes in response to the devastating floods that swept through Punjab during the 2025 monsoon season, displacing thousands and causing widespread destruction to homes and livelihoods.
According to sources, Diljit’s winnings will be directed to local NGOs and grassroots organisations actively working on flood relief and rehabilitation. His Saanjh Foundation has also announced plans to adopt 10 flood-hit villages in Gurdaspur and Amritsar, focusing on rebuilding homes, providing medical care, and distributing essential supplies.
Known for his humility and empathy, Diljit has a long history of philanthropy. Back in 2020, he donated Rs 1 crore for winter clothing to aid farmers protesting against farm laws. His continued commitment to social causes has cemented his reputation as one of the most compassionate stars in the entertainment industry.
While the exact amount he won on KBC remains undisclosed, reports suggest it’s a substantial sum. Beyond his financial contribution, Diljit has been using his massive fan following and global platform to raise awareness and encourage others to support relief efforts.
Several other personalities, including entrepreneur Raj Kundra, have also stepped forward to contribute to the ongoing relief work in Punjab.
