Cyclone Biparjoy Landfall in Gujarat HIGHLIGHTS : India is a geographical diverse country with a long coastline which is prone to cyclones. A severe strong storm named Cyclone Biparjoy Landfall process begins in Gujarat and is progressing towards north and northwestwards and as a “very severe cyclonic storm.”With the maximum wind speed of 25-135 km per hour (78-84 mph) gusting up to 150 kph, the severe storm has started.The landfall process for Cyclone Biparjoy started, powering winds at 100 kmph and bringing heavy rain on Gujarat coast. The entire process is expected to take around six hours.Cyclone Biparjoy is currently moving north-northeastwards towards the Saurashtra and Kutch coast. Preparations for protection against the cyclone are in full swing at the Gujarat coasts.
